Hazing is part of a ritual or what is usually called "initiation" in fraternities or sororities in different universities in the United States. There are also some groups that require this activity for a person aspiring to be a member and pass the whole process to welcome him into the circle.

It is not impossible for young people to die if undergoing hazing activities. The whole group will absolutely burden the person until he cannot stand up anymore. It is just so sad that they do not have this presence of mind and the thinking that they could lead that pitiful person to DEATH. Alpha Gamma Rho (chapters)

Alpha Gamma Rho is the first group in the United States with seventy chapters. They have the nickname: "Agger". Abraham Lincoln was assigned to be the President in the year 1862 and he contributed a lot for the fraternity to have their own land as well as financial support that helped the group to be more established. 

Alpha Gamma Sigma (fraternity)

This fraternity is popular in eight campuses in North America. Their nickname is: "AG Sig".  This group is very professional and they have the statement: "Preparing men for life: coming together as scholars, living as brothers, becoming leaders of tomorrow." 

Alpha Delta Gamma (chapters)

Alpha Delta Gamma is one of the seventy-five members of the North American Interfraternity Conference and very popular because of their Christian principles and traditions that they apply within the group. They have the screen name: "AlphaDelts". 

Fraternities and sororities should refer to real brotherhood and sisterhood relationships and do not need to use hazing for their initiation or what they often call as "christening" or "baptism". This way, these activities will not result to many cases of death.
